This week, we explored Colossians 3:18-4:6, where Paul presents a BETTER WAY to live—finding true freedom through submission to Christ. True freedom isn’t the absence of authority but submission to the right authority—Jesus Christ. His lordship transforms every relationship, bringing harmony, purpose, and joy.
In the home, this BETTER WAY looks like mutual love, respect, and nurturing relationships that reflect God’s design. In work and social settings, it means serving and leading with integrity, working wholeheartedly for the Lord. In our witness, it’s living wisely, praying steadfastly, and letting our speech reflect the grace of Christ.
This life of freedom and transformation is only possible through Jesus Christ, the Creator of all things, who reconciles us to God through His death and resurrection. He is the author of true freedom and empowers us to live it out in every area of life.

“Walking with Jesus isn’t just about where you’re headed—it’s about forward progress right here, right now.”
Like a child learning to walk, the Christian life is a journey of growth, joy, and challenges. In Colossians 2:6-7, Paul reminds us:
"Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him—rooted, built up, and established in faith, overflowing with gratitude."
It’s easy to get sidetracked by philosophies, traditions, or worldly distractions. But the gospel isn’t just something that saves us—it’s a lifestyle that shapes every part of who we are today.
There’s no need to search for fulfillment elsewhere. Paul tells us in verse 10: “You have been filled by Him.” Jesus is enough. His grace, power, and presence are with us now, guiding us in every step we take.
The question is: Are you walking in His truth today? Or are you letting the world lead you astray?

In this episode, we continue our series through the book of Colossians, which centers on the supremacy of Jesus over all things. Last week, we introduced this powerful letter written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Colossae—a young congregation facing the influence of false teachers. These teachers promoted a blend of Jewish legalism, mysticism, and early Gnostic ideas, suggesting that faith in Jesus wasn’t enough. They argued that true spirituality required following certain religious practices and rituals, diminishing the authority of Jesus by treating Him as just one spiritual being among many.
Paul, writing from prison, was informed of these issues by Epaphras, leading him to pen this letter. His goal was to correct these distortions by reminding the church of the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ. It’s not Jesus plus something else—it’s Jesus over everything. He is enough.
As a new church, our aim is to put Jesus over all things in our lives. To do that, we must truly see Him for who He is. Colossians 1:15-23 gives us one of the clearest and most powerful portraits of Christ in the New Testament. These verses exalt Jesus as the image of the invisible God, the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all things.
Just as the Colossians faced cultural pressures that distorted their view of Jesus, we too live in a world that tries to diminish His greatness. The enemy uses doubts, rumors, and half-truths to attack our faith and sow confusion. But as we study these rich and profound truths, I pray that we gain greater clarity and confidence in who Jesus truly is.
